Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has released the notification of the Indian Economic Service/ Indian Statistical Service Examination 2022 for recruitment to the Junior Time Scale of the Services. Eligible candidates can apply before 26-04-2022 (06:00 P.M).

UPSC IES/ ISS Exam Eligibility Criteria
Candidates applying for UPSC IES/ ISS Exam must check the number of vacancies and eligibility criteria (Nationality, Age Limit, and Educational Qualification):-
A. Nationality
The candidate who is going to apply for the IES/ ISS Exam 2022 must have citizenship of India issued by the government of India. The following candidates can also apply for the exam –

| 2. | a subject of Bhutan, or |
| 3. | a Tibetan refugee who came over to India before 1st January 1962 with the intention of permanently settling in India, or |
| 4. | a person of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Srilanka, East African countries of Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania, Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia, and Vietnam with the intention of permanently settling in India. |
B. Age Limit
A candidate must have attained the age of 21 years and must not have attained the age of 30 years on 1st August 2022 i.e he/she must have been born not earlier than 2nd August 1992 and not later than 1st August 2001. The upper age relaxation will be given as per rules.
C. Educational Qualification

| 1. | A candidate for the Indian Economic Service must have obtained a Post-Graduate Degree in Economics/ Applied Economics/ Business Economics/ Econometrics from a University incorporated by an Act of the Central or State Legislature in India or other Educational Institutes established by an Act Parliament or declared to be deemed as University under Section 3 of the University Grants Commission Act, 1956 or a Foreign University approved by the Central Government from time to time. |
| 2. | A candidate for the Indian Statistical Service must have obtained a Bachelor’s Degree in Statistics/ Mathematical Statistics/ Applied Statistics as one of the subjects or a Master’s degree in Statistics/ Mathematical Statistics/ Applied Statistics from a University incorporated by an Act of the Central or State Legislature in India or other Educational Institutes established by an Act of Parliament or declared to be deemed as University under Section 3 of the University Grants Commission Act, 1956 or a Foreign University approved by the Central Government from time to time. |
Application Fee:- Candidates (excepting Female/ SC/ ST/ Persons with Benchmark Disability Candidates who are exempted from payment of fee) are required to pay the fee of Rs. 200/- either by remitting the money in any Branch of State Bank of India or by using Visa/ Master/ RuPay Credit/ Debit Card or by using Internet Banking of SBI.
